From your dashboard, https://app.cartamaps.com, you will see an empty page with a button to "Create your first map"

You will be immediately navigated to the map editor, it will default to your geolocated area, cool right?!

At this point, you are ready to add locations and boundaries. Click the large "+" button in the center toolbar or "search for a location" in the Get Started pane. A popup will appear where you can start your search.

All search results can become markers but Carta Maps also has over 70k curated boundaries. Things like postal codes, cities, counties, states and more. If your search result can be used as a boundary, you will be presented with an option to add it as a boundary to the map.
